You and the Economy is a Central Bank of Nigeria - sponsored weekly television programme broadcast on the Network Service of NTA every  Wednesday between 5:30pm-6:00pm and on AIT every  Thursday between 6:00pm-6:30pm. The news - feature magazine programme is one of the platforms used by the apex bank to explain its policies and initiatives, particularly those that are largely misunderstood, to its stakeholders in particular and the Nigerian public in general. Afprohand, an independent television production company, produces and facilitates the broadcast of the television programme for the CBN.

@ Afprohand

Afprohand Nigeria Limited is a very active and strongly focused independent television production firm specialising in the production of professional-grade video documentaries. A member of the Independent Television Producers Association of Nigeria, ITPAN, Afprohand operates from a quiet neighbourhood at 4, Remilekun Street, off Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos.
Directing the affairs of the company is Seun Sonoiki, a seasoned producer/director who began his television production career as a correspondent in the News Department of the Nigerian Television Authority in 1982. Sonoiki made a mark in the Newsweek unit of NTA News where he produced many acclaimed video documentaries in the hey days of the programme. Such documentaries include: Sexually Transmitted Diseases: Zooming to an Epidemic; Drought: A Wrath of Nature; WAEC: Crumbling Under Pressure; Cancer: The Incurable Killer and NYSC: Crashing Vehicle of Unity.
After a career which took him through the electronic media (NTA News and NTA Newsweek), the print media (The African Guardian Magazine), as well as public relations (Metalloplastica Nigeria Limited) and Advertising (Richard Munds Limited), Sonoiki decided to pursue a career as an independent television producer.  This decision gave birth in 1992  to Afprohand Nigeria Limited, now arguably Nigeria's foremost independent television production firm specialising in professional-grade video documentaries. Within five years of the establishment of Afprohand, Sonoiki has excelled as an independent television producer. Today, with more than 100 top-class video documentary productions to his credit, Sonoiki is now one of the most accomplished independent television producers in that field in Nigeria.

Complementing Sonoiki is a crop of professionals  - Associate Producers, Cameramen, Camera Assistants, Soundmen - always dedicated to creativity and excellence, such qualities as have made the company a television production firm of distinction.
